WaveVR delivered to Inspire – supporting treatment and recovery in West Northamptonshire

WaveVR Partnerships Recovery

We’re pleased to announce that we have delivered two VR headsets pre-loaded with WaveVR to Inspire, an alcohol and drug service supporting adults, young people, and communities across West Northamptonshire.

The headsets and WaveVR licences are funded by West Northamptonshire Council to help Inspire members through their treatment and recovery journey. WaveVR offers a calming, immersive space for mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance – skills that are central to recovery work.

Why this matters

Recovery is rarely a straight line. People moving through treatment often need practical tools to manage stress, navigate triggers, and steady themselves between appointments. WaveVR gives them a private, non-judgmental space to practise those skills in their own time.

By placing the technology directly with Inspire, we’re putting it into the hands of the people who can use it most – guided by frontline staff who understand each individual’s journey.

Working in partnership

This deployment reflects what’s possible when local authorities, frontline services, and university spin-outs work together. We’re grateful to West Northamptonshire Council for backing this and to the team at Inspire for embracing a new way of supporting their members.

We’ll be working closely with Inspire over the coming weeks to support staff, gather feedback, and learn how WaveVR can best fit into recovery pathways.
